New Orleans Police says two people are injured after a shooting along the parade route Thursday night.

Witnesses report a group of young people walking onto the neutral ground and opening fire.

Parade watchers hit the ground and crawled away or took off running.

Police have reportedly taken at least one person into custody for questioning.

NOPD Chief Ronal Surpas says the suspect is a juvenile.  He says they also recovered a gun.

It happened at St. Charles and Erato.
