The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office says an argument between two teenagers ended in a fatal shooting in Mandeville.
Deputies responded to a report of a shooting on Ridgewood Loop in Mandeville, early Saturday morning.
They found the victim, 19-year-old Vincent Cuccia, suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but passed away as a result of his injuries.
St. Tammany Parish detectives arrested 19-year-old, Jake Mills, and have charged him with second degree murder.
The investigation led investigators to believe an argument took place over a female. The argument escalated, which resulted in Cuccia being shot by Mills.
"This was a senseless killing which resulted in the ruined lives of two young teenagers - one dead and the other who could potentially be sentenced to prison for the rest of his life. Sad," said Sheriff Randy Smith.
Mills has been charged with second-degree murder. He was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail Saturday afternoon. No bond has been set.
