In a "perp walk" video filmed by WWL-TV, suspect Brian Downing is seen being led to Orleans Parish Prison for processing.

At around 10 tonight, the Alabama man police believe committed sexual battery in a French Quarter restaurant after the BCS Championship game, turned himself in to New Orleans Police.
NOPD Sex Crimes detectives met 32-year-old Brian Downing and his attorney at his attorney’s office in Mid-City tonight. The officers then transported Downing to Central Lock-up to be processed on one count of Sexual Battery (a felony) and one count of Obscenity. NOPD obtained a warrant for Downing’s arrest earlier this evening.
At approximately 11:45pm on January 9, 2012, Downing- who is a resident of Smiths Station, Alabama, and was in town for the BCS game, was videotaped placing his genitals on an L.S.U. fan’s face. The L.S.U. fan appears to be heavily inebriated and practically unconscious. The incident happened inside a restaurant in the 100-block of Bourbon Street.
Sex crimes detectives were first alerted to the videotape on Sunday, January 15, 2012, and started a preliminary investigation. Through further investigation, including the collection of more evidence and information with the assistance of L.S.U. and Alabama University campus police, New Orleans detectives were able to secure a warrant for Downing’s arrest.
