Are Drake, Justin Bieber and Kanye West really skipping the Grammy Awards? For now, it seems so.
According to TMZ, all three artists will join Frank Ocean in avoiding the Grammys this year. The report says they deem the ceremony "irrelevant" and "unrepresentative" for younger artists.
Bieber is nominated for 4 awards, while Drake and Kanye are nominated for 8 each.
Frank Ocean didn't even submit his album Blonde for consideration saying the awards don't recognize young, black artists, commenting, "that institution certainly has nostalgic importance ... it just doesn't seem to be representing very well for people who come from where I come from, and hold down what I hold down."
Ben Affleck has decided to step down as director of The Batman, but he will still star as the title character and produce the movie.
Ben released a statement saying, “There are certain characters who hold a special place in the hearts of millions. Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require. Together with the studio, I have decided to find a partner in a director who will collaborate with me on this massive film. I am still in this, and we are making it, but we are currently looking for a director. I remain extremely committed to this project, and look forward to bringing this to life for fans around the world.”
Sounds feasible, but I still wonder if there was drama going on.
You will be able to see Ben as Batman in Justice League when it hits theaters this November.
