Keenan Lewis put a picture of himself and free agent cornerback Champ Bailey on his Instagram account this afternoon. The 35 year old Bailey had spent the last 10 seasons with the Denver Broncos (he was with the Washington Redskins for 5 years before that). He has 909 combined tackles, 9 forced fumbles, 52 interceptions, and 203 pass deflections in his career.
He had a season shortened due to injury last year before being cut this offseason. Bailey is a 12 time Pro-Bowler and 7-time All-Pro, most recently in 2012. During that season, he notched 66 total tackles, 2 interceptions, and 9 pass deflections.
After cutting Jabari Greer, the Saints could be looking to pair another cornerback opposite Lewis.
ESPN's Adam Schefter chimed in:
Former Broncos CB Champ Bailey is visiting New Orleans, per source, and plans to take at least another trip depending ontalks with Saints.
